David L Walker, MRICS, FIQ
David has extensive experience in the minerals industry having held senior estates management positions with international construction materials companies. David started out within the Amey Roadstone Corporation, for a period of ten years, and was then appointed National Estates Manager for Steetley Quarry Products Limited until 1992 when the Company was founded.
Since that time, David has been acting for clients in the aggregates sector, landfill and open cast coal industries on minerals estates management, valuation, and planning and environmental matters.
David has represented the minerals’ industry on Regional Aggregate Working Parties, the CBI Minerals Committee and various DoE Steering groups. David was a senior lecturer in Mineral Estates Management, Minerals Planning and other Mineral related matters.
David has also acted as an independent expert for disputes including rent and royalty reviews. David also frequently sits as a chairman on RICS assessment panels, and is an RICS Registered Valuer.
Paul A Clarke, MRICS, MIQ
Paul is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor who joined the Company in 1996 straight from Sheffield Hallam University with a first class honours degree in Minerals Estate Management.
Paul has experience in all aspect of Mineral and Estates Management. In particular Paul has enjoyed success in a number of planning appeals, enforcement appeals and arbitration matters (including compulsory purchase) and continues to prepare applications across a range of scales and development types including EIA.
On environmental matters, Paul has prepared a number of IPPC/EP applications and has undertaken environmental audit work at a number of locations.
Paul is the Company’s RICS Regulatory and Compliance Manager responsible for all matters relating the RICS regulation and standards. In addition, Paul is an assessor for the RICS Minerals, Planning and Environmental Pathways, and is an RICS Registered Valuer.
Daniel Walker, MRICS
Daniel is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor who joined the Company straight from university in 2001. Daniel initially qualified as a geologist, and then acquired the necessary qualifications to become a Chartered Surveyor via a distance learning course from the University of Glamorgan in 2002. A very enthusiastic team member, Daniel acts for several clients in relation to geological site investigation, water licensing, planning (including EIA), environmental permitting and valuations.
Daniel has also prepared a number of desk top studies/due diligence assessments used for site acquisitions and prepares reports in relation to site searches, planning and environmental matters and Mineral Law.
Daniel is the Company’s RICS training advisor, responsible for all matters related to RICS training including ATC and APC, and is an RICS Registered Valuer.
Georgina Snaize
Georgina obtained a distinction in her Masters degree on Surveying (Minerals) from Northumbria University. Georgina is continuing to develop the skill set to become a highly proficient member of the team, and is working through to become qualified as a Chartered Surveyor by the RICS.
Georgina has experience in a number of environmental, development appraisal and EIA projects and is regularly involved in the preparation of planning applications for all development types.
Georgina has been acting for clients to mange their estates portfolio with regular involvement in rent reviews, lease renewals, performance bonds amongst other minerals estate matters.
Glenn Hall
Glenn Hall is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with over 40 years experience. He has a broad knowledge base with strong technical ability supported by sound commercial judgment and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Since joining DLWL Glenn has provided mineral estates management and valuation services including rent reviews and business rates advice to a number of large and small mineral and waste operators.
Prior to joining David L Walker Glenn worked for a multidisciplinary multinational consultancy and prior to that was Deputy Head of the Valuation Office Agency Mineral Valuer section where he led a National team and was responsible for operational delivery of valuations for Rating, Statutory Taxation, Compensation and other purposes. He has prepared and negotiated numerous complex valuations including Upper Tribunal cases.
